Looking for a healthy, flavorful, and incredibly easy weeknight dinner? You've found it! Our Oven-Baked Honey Garlic Salmon & Broccoli brings together flaky salmon and perfectly roasted broccoli all on one sheet pan. The sweet and savory honey-garlic glaze ties it all together, making for a meal that feels fancy but is surprisingly simple to make.
Ingredients
Yield: 2 servings
Main
- 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- For the Honey Garlic Glaze:
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger (optional)
- Red pepper flakes, a pinch (optional, for a little kick)
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Step 2
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, ginger (if using), and red pepper flakes (if using) to make the honey-garlic glaze.
Step 3
Place broccoli florets on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and toss to coat evenly.
Step 4
Place salmon fillets on the other side of the baking sheet. Brush about half of the honey-garlic glaze generously over the salmon. You can also brush a little glaze over the broccoli.
Step 5
Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the broccoli is tender-crisp. Cooking time will vary based on salmon thickness.
Step 6
If desired, drizzle the remaining glaze over the salmon and broccoli right before serving. Serve hot with a side of rice or quinoa.
Tips
- Don't overcrowd the baking sheet. If you're doubling the recipe, use two separate sheets for best results.
- For an extra burst of flavor, sprinkle with sesame seeds or chopped fresh cilantro after baking.
- Customize your veggies! Brussels sprouts, asparagus, or bell peppers would also work well here.
