  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice (optional, for brightness)

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a large bowl, combine the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to ensure the sprouts are evenly coated.

    Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they are not overcrowded, otherwise they will steam instead of crisp.

    Roast for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, toss, and sprinkle with the grated Parmesan cheese. Return to the oven and roast for another 5-10 minutes, or until the sprouts are tender-crisp and the edges are nicely browned and crispy.
